My Cozy Corner

I've not been well since I came back from the Raya holiday break. One after another my, its been a big change in my daily routine. One thing I missed most is sitting in this corner of mine, sipping my morning coffee while catching up with my mails, Facebook & blogs.
So, here I am at this very moment, posting this from this very spot.

I'm linking this post to Patty's Cozy Corners September. Thanks Patty, now I feel really special of this corner of mine.

I like the entrance to the dining room. Doors, instead of the normal open doorway.

Roses with love

My mother-in-law just loves roses so much so, my sister-in-law told me not to inform her that I'm going to Cameron. "She'll surely ask you to buy a pot of roses" she said.

I still did buy her a pot of roses. What better way to say it than flowers

This idea was inspired by The Key Bunch and I'm joining their September Blog Carnival: Say it with flowers na! Thanks a bunch!

Wish I live here...

The idea of Cameron come to me when I receive 'Stay 1 nite, free 1 nite' offer @ a well-known hotel. I just happened to come across 'Bala's Chalet' and my husband immediately decided that's where we should stay. Although I was reluctant at first, when we arrived, I couldn't agree more. I was glad he made the choice.
If you're at the highland, this is the type of place you should stay. Set amidst lush greenery, rolling hills and majestic mountains, "The Bala's Holiday Chalet" is a charming English style inn that provides the perfect blend of old world ambience and contemporary comfort. With its serenity and country charm, the hotel captures the very essence of a highland holiday.
Bala's Chalet is one of the oldest colonial buildings built during the pre-war era and has been preserved in its original structure till today. Opened as a boarding school 1934 for European expatriate children as a branch of the more famous Tanglin school in Singapore.
It's present owner, K. Balakrishnan, a local boy bought over this property with Peter Blumbach, a German businessman after the school closed down and turned it into a guesthouse which became a fine place to stay in years. In spite of the numerous refurbishment, the original Tudor concept is still being preserved.

Bala's is also famous for its Tea & scones and I can't agree more.
